Village residents residing on the East side of the Village may hear what sounds like random gun fire coming from an agricultural “Crop Cannon.”

The Farmer located in the Village of Salem Lakes and South of State HWY 50 have deployed a motion sensing pneumatic driven Crop Cannon to deter Raccoons, Deer, and other wildlife from eating the farmers sweet corn crop.

The farmer reports that the duration for the deployment will continue through July.
